Course Overview
This course provides educators with essential strategies and tools for adapting lessons to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities, including dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, autism, and other learning differences.
Participants will explore evidence-based instructional modifications and accommodations to enhance accessibility, engagement, and understanding for all students.
Through hands-on practice, collaborative discussions, and case studies, educators will learn how to create inclusive lesson plans that address academic and behavioral needs, ensuring that each student can achieve their full potential within a supportive learning environment.
You Will Be Able to:
Identify the unique learning needs of students with various disabilities and understand how these needs impact learning and engagement.
Develop strategies to modify lesson content, delivery, and assessment to make lessons accessible to all learners, including those with special needs.
Implement accommodations and modifications in lesson planning and execution to support specific needs, such as audio and visual supports for students with dyslexia and structured routines for students with autism.
Create differentiated assessments that allow students with special needs to demonstrate learning in alternative ways.
Collaborate with other educators and professionals to create a comprehensive, individualized approach for students with special needs.
Reflect on the effectiveness of lesson modifications and adjust instructional practices based on student feedback and outcomes.
