History
Teaching history at home is essentially storytelling with added drama—and perhaps a few historically inaccurate costumes pulled from the dress-up bin. You’re not just covering dates and battles; you’re helping your kids discover that the past was full of real people making big choices… and occasionally terrible hair decisions.
Whether you’re building a cardboard Roman coliseum or trying to explain the many King Henrys without mixing them up (again), history in a homeschool setting means bringing the past alive right in your living room. Bonus: it’s the only subject where binge-watching documentaries totally counts as school, and popcorn is encouraged.
